รับสมัครเยาวชนคนรุ่นใหม่ไฟแรง เข้าร่วมโครงการฝึกอบรมเพื่อเตรียมพร้อมรับมือภัยพิบัติและสิ่งแวดล้อมศึกษา ประจำปี 2560-2561

เจแปนฟาวน์เดชั่น กรุงเทพฯ กำลังเปิดรับสมัครเยาวชนคนหนุ่มสาวรุ่นใหม่ไฟแรง (อายุระหว่าง 22 – 35 ปี) และนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัย (ระดับบัณฑิตศึกษา – ปริญญาโท และปริญญาเอก) ที่มีพรสวรรค์ และความคิดสร้างสรรค์ในการประยุกต์ใช้ความรู้ ความสามารถทั้งทางวิชาการ ประสบการณ์ในการปฏิบัติงานภาคสนาม รวมถึงการใช้สื่อศิลปะแขนงต่างๆในการทำงานขับเคลื่อนสังคมเพื่อเตรียมพร้อมรับมือภัยพิบัติและปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมที่อาจจะเกิดขึ้นได้ในอนาคต โดยเยาวชนที่ได้รับการคัดเลือกจะได้เข้าร่วมโครงการ“ความหวังและความฝัน”เพื่อเตรียมพร้อมรับมือภัยพิบัติและแก้ไขปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อม HANDs – (Hope and Dreams) for Disaster and Environment Education + Creativity Project โครงการนี้เป็นโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนเยาวชนคนหนุ่มสาวที่จัดขึ้นทุกปี โดยมีเป้าหมายเพื่อปลูกฝังจิตสำนึกในการอยู่ร่วมกันในฐานะชุมชนหนึ่งที่อยู่ร่วมกับผู้คนในภูมิภาคเอเชีย ซึ่งนำร่องและริเริ่มโดย เจแปนฟาวน์เดชั่น ศูนย์เอเชีย

ตัวแทนเยาวชนที่ได้รับการคัดเลือกจะได้มีโอกาสพบปะ-แลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์ สร้างสายสัมพันธ์และมิตรภาพอันดี พร้อมทั้งริเริ่มเครือข่ายของคนทำงานสื่อสร้างสรรค์เพื่อรับมือภัยพิบัติและศึกษาปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมต่างๆร่วมกันกับเยาวชนอีก 8 ประเทศ อันประกอบไปด้วย อินเดีย เนปาล มาเลเซีย อินโดนีเซีย ฟิลิปปินส์ พม่า กัมพูชา และญี่ปุ่น โดยผู้เข้าร่วมทั้งหมดจะเดินทางไปร่วมโครงการในครั้งแรกนี้ที่ประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ และญี่ปุ่น ในระหว่างวันที่ 8 – 19 ตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2560 ที่จะถึงนี้ (กำหนดการอาจจะมีการเปลี่ยนแปลง) เพื่อสร้างความเข้าใจที่สอดคล้องกันอย่างลึกซึ้งและสร้างเครือข่ายระหว่างผู้นำเยาวชนอันจะก่อให้เกิดความพยายามร่วมแรงร่วมใจกันในการคิด วิเคราะห์ และวางแผนการทำงานร่วมกันในประเด็นทั้งทางวิชาการและความคิดสร้างสรรค์อื่นๆเกี่ยวกับการจัดการและเตรียมพร้อมรับมือภัยพิบัติในอนาคต โดยจะมีประเด็นเรื่องแนวทางในการศึกษาผลกระทบจากปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมต่างๆเข้ามาเกี่ยวข้องด้วย

หลังจากนั้นสมาชิกทั้งหมดของโครงการ HANDs จะร่วมเดินทางไปศึกษา-ดูงานและทำกิจกกรรมเป็นครั้งที่ 2 ณ ประเทศอินโดนีเซีย ในช่วงเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ปีหน้า (พ.ศ. 2561) พร้อมกับนำเสนอแผนงานการทำโครงการเตรียมพร้อมรับมือภัยพิบัติและการแก้ไขปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อม ผ่านกิจกรรมสื่อสร้างสรรค์แบบต่างๆ ทั้งในระดับชาติ และระดับนานาชาติ เพื่อยื่นให้กับทาง Japan Foundation Asia Center (เจแปนฟาวน์เดชั่น ศูนย์เอเชีย) พิจารณาอนุมัติทุนสนับสนุนตามเงื่อนไขสำหรับการดำเนินโครงการในเบื้องต้น ก่อนจะขยายงานเหล่านั้นให้เติบโตและส่งผลต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางสังคมต่อไปในอนาคต

(1) ผู้สมัครต้องเป็นเยาวชนในช่วงวัยทำงานตอนต้น (อายุระหว่าง 22 – 35 ปี) ที่มีประสบการณ์ทำงานอย่างน้อย 1 ปี มีทักษะในการคิด ริเริ่ม สร้างสรรค์ การทำงานออกแบบสื่อและศิลปะเพื่อชุมชนและสังคม สำหรับเตรียมพร้อมรับมือภัยพิบัติ หรือมีทักษะในด้านบริหารจัดการองค์กรและโครงการเพื่อสังคมต่างๆที่ผ่านมา เช่น ศิลปินเพื่อชุมชน สถาปนิกอาสาเพื่อชุมชนและสังคม ผู้ประกอบการเพื่อสังคม เจ้าหน้าที่หรือคนทำงานโครงการด้านมนุษยธรรมและสังคมต่างๆ นักพัฒนาทางสังคม นักกิจกรรมอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อมและนิเวศวิทยา สื่อมวลชน นักวิจัยและผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการเตรียมพร้อมและรับมือภัยพิบัติ และนักวิจัยเรื่องการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางภูมิอากาศ เป็นต้น

(2) นักศึกษาที่กำลังศึกษาในระดับบัณฑิตศึกษา (ปริญญาโท – ปริญญาเอก) สาขาสังคมศาสตร์ เช่น นิเทศศาสตร์ ครุศาสตร์ รัฐศาสตร์ สังคมวิทยาและมนุษยวิทยา ศิลปกรรมศาสตร์ สถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ เป็นต้น และสาขาทางวิทยาศาตร์และวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ เช่น การจัดการทรัพยากรทางธรรมชาติ และผลกระทบของการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางภูมิอากาศ วิศวกรรมสิ่งแวดล้อม และการพัฒนานวัตกรรมใหม่ๆเพื่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางสังคม เป็นต้น

(3) ผู้สมัครควรจะต้องมีประสบการณ์ในการทำงานพัฒนาชุมชน และงานด้านสังคมอื่นๆ หรือมีความสนใจในการนำความรู้เรื่องการเตรียมพร้อมรับมือภัยพิบัติและกระบวนการสิ่งแวดล้อมศึกษาทั้งทางวิชาการ และภาคปฏิบัติ ไปประยุกต์ใช้ในท้องถิ่น เช่น การจัดกิจกรรมให้ความรู้ปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อม เรื่องภัยพิบัติและการเตรียมตัวให้กับเด็กในโรงเรียนต่างๆ หรือได้เคยมีโอกาสเข้าร่วมฟื้นฟูพื้นที่ประสบภัย ตลอดจนได้ทำงานเป็นผู้ประกอบการเพื่อสังคม เป็นต้น สำหรับผู้สมัครท่านอื่นๆที่ทำงานเพื่อสังคม เช่น การสนับสนุนเรื่องการมีส่วนร่วมของเด็ก คนพิการ และผู้สูงอายุ หรือการส่งเสริมศักยภาพและสิทธิสตรี รวมทั้งผู้ที่สนใจในประเด็นการเปลี่ยนแปลงของภูมิอากาศและปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมต่างๆที่กระทบต่อภัยพิบัติทางธรรมชาติในปัจจุบัน ก็สามารถสมัครได้เช่นกัน

(4) ผู้สมัครมีความสนใจและเปิดกว้างในการเรียนรู้ประสบการณ์ของการฟื้นฟูพื้นที่ประสบภัยและเตรียมพร้อมรับมือภัยพิบัติและปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อม

(5) ผู้สมัครต้องมีสัญชาติไทย และมีอายุไม่เกิน 35 ปี (นับจนถึงวันปิดรับสมัครวันที่ 31 กรกฏาคม พ.ศ. 2560)

(6) ผู้สมัครต้องมีความเข้าใจและเห็นชอบในหลักการของโครงการ“ความหวังและความฝัน”เพื่อเตรียมพร้อมรับมือภัยพิบัติและแก้ไขปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมผ่านความคิดสร้างสรรค์ต่างๆ HANDs – (Hope and Dreams) for Disaster and Environment Education + Creativity Project

(7) ผู้สมัครต้องมีทักษะในการสื่อสารภาษาอังกฤษได้เป็นอย่างดี

(8) ผู้สมัครต้องมีสุขภาพร่างกายและจิตใจที่แข็งแรงสมบูรณ์

The Japan Foundation, Bangkok is now soliciting for the application of young professionals (ages not over 35 years old) and university students (preferably graduate level) who are actively working on the field of artistic approach and creativities for social issues (i.e. community artist, community and social architecture, etc.), social entrepreneur or social enterprise, humanitarian and social workers, ecological specialists, environmental journalism and documentary producers, climate change adaptation specialists and disaster preparedness management officers to be a member and participate in an interesting Asian regional training project called “Hope and Dreams for Disaster and Environmental Education + Creativities – HANDs Project.” It is a bi-annual youth exchange program, aiming to nurture a sense of common feeling and coexistence as a community shared by the people of Asia, initiated by The Japan Foundation Asia Center.

The HANDs Project will connect youths, from Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar/Cambodia, Malaysia and India/Nepal. It also promotes the formation of a network among young leaders, as well as promotes collaborative efforts among them, in the field of intellectual exchange dialogue on disaster and environmental education issues with their applied creativities. In the first year (2017), they will be given a primarily research tours, lectures, and workshops for 15 days in 3 countries including Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia as the last destination to learn about disaster and environmental education as well as new innovative and creative ideas in each country. The first trip is scheduled to visit Philippines and Japan in October 8th – 19th, 2017 (dates are subject to change) ; while the second trip is scheduled to visit Indonesia in February 2018 (date TBC). The second year (2018) will be the planning and implementation of action plans to propose to the Japan Foundation Asia Center. There will be seed funding provided to the follow up projects, under condition that the project has to be approved by the Japan Foundation Asia Center.

The youths are the agents of change that determine what the future will be. In Asia, the wave of young people’s participation in giving social contribution is growing fast in various issue-areas, including natural disaster and environment degradations as major issues faced in this region. With dreaming on a strong bond of friendships between Japan and Asian countries and hoping on the fast-growing youth participation, The Japan Foundation Asia Center provides opportunities for youths in Japan and Asian countries to learn from each other, to inspire one another and to seek for seeds for collaboration through HANDs! Project.

Therefore, within HANDs!, the youth are not only expected to improve their personal development but also to take action, as symbolized in HANDs!’ logo, small and colourful hands forming a bigger hand. The logo shows how youths from different economic development with different background can study and experience able to work together hand-in-hand, take action in tackling common issues.

a. Applicants have to be:

o a young professional, who have great creative skills and/or organizational skills, as well as working actively in the field of artistic approach and creativities for social issues i.e. community artist, community and social architecture, social entrepreneur or social enterprise, humanitarian and social workers, ecological specialists, environmental activists, journalism and documentary producers, climate change adaptation specialists and disaster preparedness management officers, with at least one year of working experience.

o an active university graduate student in any fields (who presents valid student ID)

b. Applicants must have records of activities in the field of community building, desirably disaster and environmental education in their home country, such as conducting educational events for school children, helping post-disaster reconstruction, conducting social enterprise and social services for environmental campaigns with their high competences of applied creativities, etc. Applicants who worked on other social issues such as supporting children, handicapped & elderly, in deal with LGBT issues, women’s empowerment, and others are also encouraged to apply.

c. Applicants who are eager to learn from other countries’ experience of post-disaster recovery and disaster preparedness and environmental issues.

d. Applicants must understand and agree to the aims of HANDs.

e. Applicants must be Thai nationality and young people from Myanmar (if available).

f. Applicants have to be equal or under 35 years old, as of the date of application (July 31, 2017).

g. Applicants must possess the ability to conduct formal conversation in English and a good communication skill.

h. Applicants must be in good physical and mental conditions.
